Jesus
The Person Who Most Influenced Their
Lives: Jans grandmotherShe truly
exemplified what it means to be a Christian, loving
person.and Jesus. The man died for
us so we might live. He led an exemplary life without
flaw. If you want to see what God looks like just study
Jesus. The older we get, the more we look to him and
the more abundant our life becomes in all ways, especially
in joy. And, hey, its really easy to find out
all you want to know about Him; His Dad wrote a real
good book about Him.
Heroes: Jans parents. They
made sacrifices for me and my brother as we were growing
up, and now they are examples to me of how to live with
determination and face obstacles with laughter.
Also, Renny Scott, minister and teacherHe
taught me how to live out my personal values in all
areas of my life.and Ronald Regan. This
man turned the country around and made us start to see
the value of the individual again.
Special Accomplishments: Many awards
and special honors, earned through hard work and excellence.
It is important to not rest on past laurels, but
to continue to strive for improvement and excellence
daily.

How Jan And Gump Got Into Business
For Themselves: Gump: I have always been in
business for myself. I realized in my first three months
after graduation, that $375 a month working for a bank
just wasnt going to set me free financially.
Jan: Being a single mom quickly brought the realization
that a schoolteacher did not make enough money to take
care of a family. I went into sales so that I could
determine my own income. That led into our own business.
Best Thing About Being Self-Employed:
Gump: There are the stock answers that we
have all heard but let me share this. If you dont
own the business, you dont have the freedom to
succeed or not to succeed. Jan: Time flexibility.
I can decide for myself when I want to work and for
how long. I do not have to report to a boss at a certain
time each day. I have been able to resign from the dress-for-success
club. Its a fantastic feeling to sleep each day
until I wake up.
