of college.

party supplies through Direct Sales. Theme Parties
in a Box is our signature item.
Market: Busy people, who want to celebrate, but
simply dont have the time or the creativity to
put it all together.
Number of Employees:
None.

Hours worked per week during start-up: 15 to
30.

Favorite business magazines: Network Marketing
Lifestyles, Success.
Favorite business books and authors: Clicking,
by Faith Popcorn. Boy did I get excited about
my business while reading this book!
Relaxes by: Filling the bathtub with hot water
and bubbles, and reading a book. Using a cordless phone
gives her the ability to work while relaxing. It
doesnt get any better than that.
Keeps in shape by: Playing tennis on a regular
basis, and going to the gym on a not so regular basis.
Favorite part of job: In the beginning
it was the simplicity of the program, and the flexibility
it allowed, but now it is working with my team of consultants
and seeing them reach their goals.
Least favorite part of job: It is very difficult
when I see people with great potential give up because
of negative outside influences, whether it is an unsupportive
spouse, friend, or family member.
Companies Admired: Amway. They took the arrows
and paved the way.
Favorite quotes: When riches come, they
come so quickly and in such abundance, you do not remember
when you did not possess them. (Unknown)
The person who most influenced your life: My
parents. As far back as I can remember, no matter what
crazy ideas I dreamed up, they would ALWAYS
say, You can do it. To this day, I still
believe that. Belief in a child is the best gift a parent
could ever give.
Heroes: I have many heroes. I have great
admiration and respect for all people who excel and
rise to the top. Whether it is in athletics or a profession,
I now understand the dedication it takes. Anyone who
actually finishes what they start, persevering through
good times and bad, is a hero. These are not just lucky
people; they are people with vision, and I love that.
Special Accomplishments: Presidential Award of
Excellence; Top Sponsor Award; Chairman, The Presidents
Leadership Council.
Months before Achieved a Profit: 10.
How Ace got into business for herself: A
dear friend told me about this crazy little party
business going up in her back yard; she thought
it had great potential. I was skeptical so I flew to
Florida to see things for myself. The rest is history.
I was hooked the minute I saw the balloons and curly
ribbon. I had never seen anything like it. After signing
the application, I felt like I was the first Tupperware
lady, and there was no Rubbermaid!
Best thing about being self-employed: The
flexibility of time, and the fact that the only limitations
you have are the ones you put on yourself! The sky is
the limit!
