Favorite Part Of The Job: Helping people. "I really get a charge when someone writes to thank me for being instrumental in helping them shed their job for a home business. I also enjoy the flexibility. I really enjoy being able to work only when I want to and especially love being able to head to the golf course during the week when I used to be locked into my '9 to 5.'"

Least Favorite Part Of The Job: "I get a load of e-mail—sometimes a hundred or so a day. That can be time consuming. I've thought about farming that work out to an assistant and may eventually, but right now I still answer it all personally. Helping people personally has been one of the reasons for my success, so I stick with it."

Favorite Quote: All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

The Person Who Most Influenced His Life: "When I was working my 40-hour-a-week service job, I met a client who asked me if I could work some overtime for him. I told him I really didn't believe in overtime and that I worked as little as possible. He told me that I'd be working 40-hour weeks forever with that attitude. He suggested I tried some 60 hour weeks for a few years to see if it took me anywhere new. I did it and was running my department within a year. The man's name was Alex, and he owned his own mortgage company. He stared as a janitor. I'll never forget the lesson he taught me. Dedication and hard work really pay off. If more people were willing to make a commitment to themselves to start their own business and grow it into a source of financial security, many people would surprise themselves."

Heroes: Einstein, for his genius and dedication to pursuing his ideas

Special Accomplishments: "I've been published by magazines like Entrepreneur, Inc., and Home Business."

Months Before Achieving A Profit: "It took about three months to start making more than I was spending."
