What most motivates you in building
your business?
RA: Creating. I love
challenging myself and creating revolutionary
products to help people and to push the envelope.
I also enjoy making the money that goes with being
on the cutting edge.
LC: Helping and giving
to my family.
FG: My family and wanting
to do well for them.
J&RG: Family.
JK: The fact that I
can retire at any age I choose, that I can be
there for my kids when they come home from school,
and the opportunity to choose what I do with my
life.
MK: Debt.
The most underrated
activity in business is?
RA: Marketing. Without
marketing thats well-planned, targeted,
and timed, nothing happens.
LC: Dealing with a
potential prospect to buy your services!
FG: Contacting leads;
it's where your money is.
J&RG: Team building.
MK: The amount of time
that people need to set aside for their business.
Most treat it like a hobby and shouldnt
do that.
The most overrated
activity in business is?
RA: Advertising. Yes,
its a facet of marketing for many business
owners, but my experience is that its not
a very effective way to build a business.
LC: Being busy.
FG: Getting in on the
ground floor of a hot new opportunity.
They almost never last. Better to build for the
long haul and have it last.
J&RG: Meetings.
MK: Thinking that you
can get something for nothing.
If You had
to start my business all over again, what would
you do differently?
RA: The truth is, I
did start over. The second time around, I learned
a lot faster from my mistakes in the past.
LC: Nothing. Everything
I have done to this point is why I am here, including
the many mistakes I made along the way! All the
knowledge I have is because of the accumulation
of the experience, good and bad, that I learned.
Why change anything?
FG: Three things: 1.
I would spend less time trying to save distributors
who didn't care as much about themselves as I
did. This has cost me a lot of money. You can't
help everyone. They have to want to help themselves.
Everybody CAN do Network Marketing, but not everybody
wants to do what it takes to succeed. 2. If I
had known it was going to work out this well,
I would have worked twice as hard as I already
did in the beginning. 3. I would have joined ProSTEP
from day one, and only used their leads to build
my business. They are that good.
J&RG: We would
do fewer meetings than we did in the beginning.
MK: Honestly, if I
knew then what I know now, I would have rearranged
my list of people I contacted.
What was your
worst business decision?
RA: To buy a commercial
building. It was the wrong location and the wrong
timing. I knew a lot about residential real estate
investing, but not enough about the commercial
aspect of real estate.
LC: I helped the wrong
person achieve success, and now we don't even
talk. In other words, our friendship ended when
we both succeeded. It should not be that way.
FG: Taking on partners.
J&RG: Waiting too
long to change companies.
MK: I dont have
any bad business decisions yet!!! Knock on wood
please!
Whats
your success philosophy?
RA: Do what you love
and what youre passionate about. Im
passionate about teaching and helping other people
to become wealthy. A lot of business proposals
come across my desk, and I know some of them will
probably be very successful ventures. But if Im
going to spend a lot of time on anything, I want
it to be something that supports my purpose in
life, which is to teach and help others.
LC: Believe in yourself.
I have learned that most people need others to
believe in them. Believe in yourself and you will
succeed!
FG: Work until you
drop. Do that 10% extra that most people are unwilling
to do, and that is where 100% of the money is.
I am no one special; I just worked harder and
longer and didn't quit where others did. I am
reasonably well off, and they are still stuck
in a rut. They could have done it too. There is
no magic here, only hard work, long hours, and
persistence.
J&RG: Massive action
produces massive results.
MK: Having a business
is one thing, but having that same business ONLINE
is explosive!!!
