What are your best tips for surviving rejection?

GB: If everyone could do this job right, then it would be worth the minimum wage. It’s not easy; it does take work, and it pays according to your results. To get paid what you are worth, I recommend network marketing. But don’t expect to establish an entire career within a few months.

RG: By realizing the truth that rejection in this business is an illusion 99.9 percent of the time. Rejection is an interpretation that is not only useless, it is invalid. If someone has a different opinion than you about the viability of your business, they are not rejecting you. If you think they are, check it out by asking them if they are rejecting you. You'll find out they are not rejecting you at all; they just have a different opinion.

JPL: Look at rejection as a question. Most people are engrossed in their own lifestyle and habits. Introducing something new comes across as change; they don’t understand completely. Follow up and follow through. Keep them on your side, and you may at least be able to use them for a referral.

JL: The best way to overcome rejection is to not let it overcome you. Don’t take it personally. Immediately move to the next person.

AR: Our best tip for surviving rejection is realizing they are not rejecting you, but are rejecting what you have to offer. They still like you.

ES: Become 10 feet tall and bulletproof!

What most motivates you in building your business?

GB: Seeing others wake up and take control of their own lives.

RG: Making a significant contribution for people and changing lives.

JPL: Financial independence.

JL: People who need me. I have many God-given talents and feel a great need to share with people who are willing to learn from me.

AR: We like to see other people succeed.

ES: The joy of service. I love what I do.

What was your best business decision?

GB: To be trainable and to replace attitudes with real knowledge.

RG: Going full time with Mannatech Inc.

JPL: Making the final and firm decision that I would succeed.

JL: Not dwelling on past mistakes and moving on with a great attitude about life. Heal the past, live for the present, and dream for the future.

ES: To go full-time in MLM with my mentor and now my husband, Taylor Hegan.

What was your worst business decision?

GB: I went full-time too quickly and ended up squeaking through the hard times with part-time jobs.

RG: Placing a strong business person under someone else before I understood the compensation plan and the resulting consequences.

JPL: Going into business with partners.

JL: I’ve been hurt at times by putting too much trust in some people. By doing this, I didn’t diversify as soon as I should have.

ES: To continue to market a product whose efficacy I could no longer wholeheartedly believe in.

What's your success philosophy?

GB: Continue to change and develop.

RG: First, when the “why” is strong enough, the “how” takes care of itself. Second, the ultimate key is being a leader and developing other leaders. Third, there is no failure; there is only quitting. Fourth, the most important dynamic is your own perspective and knowing how to shift the perspective of others.

JPL: Trust in what you want and what you know, not in what you fear will or will not happen. People are more important than things. Money, like food and clothing, are not everything, but no one can do without them. Don’t lose perspective in the pursuit of any idol. Balance in all areas of your life is the key to all rewards.

JL: I feel that life is about people. It’s not really about money. If you help enough people find and live their dreams, your dreams are a given. Put your business and life in God’s hands and he will send you more leads than you can ever handle.

AR: You must have a good attitude to be successful.

ES: Surround yourself by great people and help other people achieve their dreams. Maintain focus and exercise the necessary simple disciplines you’ve set until they become habits. Our motto is: “We build the people, the people build the business.”
